Welcome to AGSH. A solo-wargaming blog dedicated to my father and the world's most noble hobby; collecting toy soldiers. Here toy soldiers clash in great battles from scales of 3mm to 54mm.

"Truly it can be said of him, without count are his soldiers & beyond measure his might." - Prince Edward in reference to Lord Butler & his invasion force departing London for Mars.

Going Dark During Halloween Home Purchase

We are in the final stages of purchasing a home. So I won't have much to report for a few weeks. I hope to show you pictures of my new wargame room set up and ready for play around the 2nd week in November. This will be the largest and nicest home I've ever lived in. My wife and I are both excited about it. Until then chaps have a Happy Halloween.

15mm Celts/Gallic Army for One Hour Wargames

Rebasing continues....

The Long War...

The Long War has been calling me for quite some time so I finally broke down and bought some 15mm Quar miniatures. I have all Crusaders and once I have the infantry, LMGs and mortar teams laid down I will order some  cavalry and armor.  Of course One Hour Wargames will be the rules of choice for this conflict.

For those unfamiliar with the Quar see this page: http://quarinvasion.com/

I have several 15mm Ancient Armies that I plan to convert, the models shown below will start a new life soon. Also I have a planned Kingdom of Commagene Army, Persians and Macedonian Greeks.

15mm Romans Rebased for One Hour Wargames

Since adapting OHW as my gaming standard I have been rebasing my models to fit with the rules. Here are my Romans. I will add more to them but this army is completely field and battle ready.
