First Attempt at Basing 3mm Moderns

I am still unsure of how I want to base my 3mm models. I am leaning towards 1" square wooden bases but at one time I had considered 40mm square bases like below. I finished these some time ago and am still unsure of how I want to proceed. The image below has a good look to it but using 1" bases I believe would allow better army creation.
