KOENIGSBERG (AP): After the unveiling of a large bronze statue of American author Robert Heinlein at a patriotic rally at a downtown republic service center, Prussian Chancellor Jaap von Huack stated that Prussia ever remains a close ally and friend of Russia. He further stated that the rumored military pullout from Camp Condor in Karakistan was untrue, that some equipment and troops had been returned for repair and leave only. He further went on to state that Prussia remains committed to fulfilling our military assistance pledge to our Russian allies and will continue to take the fight to the Karakistani Rebels and the insidious Lions of Allah.
He also added that at the same time our assistance for the Mafeking Heinleinist Front would continue. Further that Prussia's UN obligation to the anti-piracy patrols would be expanded to include coastal operations and harbor patrols.
When asked about increased recruitment numbers the Chancellor confirmed that the military was upping it's manning levels. There has always been one combat brigade on duty in Prussia at all times while it's brother brigades operate in Karakistan and Afrika. The home brigade will be increased to division level.
The Chancellor was also asked about the speculation concerning a Prussian nuclear weapon. The Chancellor dismissed this as false stating that Prussia will honor its commitment to maintain their nuclear facilities for domestic energy uses only.
